Charles Parnell\, aka the Rocking Rev\, is the host of Parnellahan’s. Vinyl Junkie. Record Hoarder. Music Collector. The Song Wrangler introduced him as\, “an audiophile and a musicologist\,” but that sounds too high-falutin! He’s just a lover of music. His love began with listening to a transistor radio under the covers at night. By “skip”\, he was able to pick up WLS – Chicago\, KOMA – Oklahoma City\, and KLIF – Dallas\, where he learned about The Rolling Stones\, the Beatles and the great sound of Motown. He learned about Hank Williams and George Jones by listening to radio with his father. He is an avid Texas Music and early Jesus Rock fan. Parnellahan’s is named in honor of Callahan’s Crosstime Saloon from Spider Robinson’s books\, a place where troubles shared are troubles halved. He hopes that the music he plays will lighten your load\, unburden your soul and make you dance.
